CAF Africa Cup of Nations

Formed in 1957 with only three teams initially participating the Africa Cup of Nations today is today played every two years with 56 member associations across five federations participating with a finals tournament set to include 24 nations from 2019.

Since its first year held in Sudan the competition has grew into one of the world’s best known international football tournaments and is regarded by many as one of the highest ranked competitions in world football.
