The Scout: Ryan Kent

Age: 22

Position: Forward

Club: Rangers

Country: England

Watched: : Rangers 2-0 Celtic (Sunday 12th May 2019)

Performance: 7 out of 10

Potential: 8 out of 10

A speedy, direct and tricky winger that plays positive in approach and with one thing in mind, to attack his opponent which makes him a refreshingly confident kid.

Kent has been on loan at Steven Gerrard’s Rangers from Liverpool for the whole of the season and has excelled in his achievements scoring six goals in 23 league games so far.

Having spells at Coventry City, Barnsley, Freiburg and Bristol City previously on loan Kent has also received England U18 and U20 caps but breaking through at Anfield will no doubt be his trickiest task of all.

Potentially he could play in the Premier League and for his country but ousting the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane is a different story completely. Another year on loan or a move to top Championship side may be more suitable but one thing is for sure if Kent keeps progressing the way he has done he’ll go on to have a fine career within the game.
