A big physical Nigerian who has the attributes to become a success at centre half for both club and country.
Officially on loan at Nantes from Porto, Awaziem has already been twice capped by Nigeria and although still young and raw has the defensive capabilities to get to the top of the game in Europe having already been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Born in Enugu in 1997 he joined FC Porto in 2014 and made his debut for the first team aged 19 in January 2016. Having played just 10 Primeira Liga games the 6ft2in central defender moved to the Ligue 1 side in May 2017 and has started the new campaign in solid fashion as les canaris lie in the top six of the division with an impeccable defensive record under Manager Claudio Ranieri.
Big, strong and commanding Awaziem possesses the raw attributes to be a big hit in the game and it wouldn’t be a surprise should he mature into a very good defender indeed.
